A book shelf

We still don't have much furniture so all the kids' books were lying around. Just about everywhere.

Now the kids have a new shelf! For all the comics and Harry Potters and books and board games... I'm sure it will fill up in no time.

And as much as I love working with wood, I dislike the painting, sanding, painting, sanding, painting ... part. It literally is like watching the paint dry.

Yusei costume

Mid-February and all the crafty mums in this part of the world are sewing like crazy. So am I.

MiniMojcek Nr. 1 decided he wanted to be Yusei from the Yu-Gi-Oh!

 So I first embellished an old pair of trousers:

 Made gloves ...

... the T-shirt ...

 ... the jacket ...

 and the wig/hat.

It's not perfect (hey, it's a carnival costume for kids!) but good enough. And he loves it, which is all that matters.

More winter!

A lovely sunny day on the snow.

Slivnica. Without the rest of the family. And without my camera.

Winter

I love snow. I love lots of snow. And I was really looking forward to taking photographs of snowflakes.

But it was too warm. Not much, just a couple of degrees, but enough for the snowflakes to partially melt. Oh well...

Oh, and just in the height of winter our heating broke down. And although the workers responded really quickly, it will still take a week to get the new system up and running. A week without heating and hot water in February.

Oh well...
