So, we've been away.

Snowy days

We've spent some wonderful snowy days in the Italian Dolomites.

Snow!

Lots of snow.

And freezing temperatures.

Winter fog

Sometimes a half-hour drive makes all the difference ...

 

From down there, where I live -   

- to up here, where the sun shines.

Oh well.

Sooo, we've been away.

In France.

Quelle surprise!

 It was beautiful - as it always is.

Despite troubles with our car.

Despite me feeling sick.

Despite the rain. 

Despite having to leave one day earlier.

But for once I did not regret returning home as this is what awaited me at home:

Winter time

If the winter won't come to Mojcek, Mojcek must go to winter.

So I did.

 

MiniMojcek Nr.2 took snowboarding lessons and we went for a lovely walk to Lake Jasna.

Pure whiteness

French Alps are always so stunningly beautiful...

Especially in 10 cm of freshly fallen snow.

 And yes, we had fun. This is me ;-)

I was away

And for the last time in 2022... I was away.

In Riga.

A true winter wonderland!

But not much of daylight...

Ahmmm...

I am not a fan of business trips just before Christmas, but sometimes I don't have a choice. 

So now that my mind is set to Christmas, I might actually enjoy this:

No, it's not the north pole. 

But not that far either ;-)

Winter holidays

We've been away.

 

Looking at des Ecrins. Over 4000 m and hardly any snow!

But we found snow in a valley where the sun doesn't shine. At least not in winter.

Dear Winter!

Dear Winter,

you know I love you dearly. I truly do. 

But there comes the time to let go and move on.

And now is the time.

So, go.

Preferably before all my trees break and flowers freeze.

And yes, this is 10 cm of snow in the last 3 hours. Still falling ...

Spring is here!

Snow, finally!

Finally we're allowed to leave the municipalities, so we decided to enjoy some snow. 

A warm, late winter day. A lovely day.

Enjoy it!

The Teenies

There is no point in even trying to summarise a whole decade in a post.
Especially such an eventful and intense decade.
With lots of ups and downs and ups again :-)

Just looking at the pictures, my heart is filled with warmth and joy.

And yes, there are people who see these sunrises every day.
