A mess

What a mess it is...

But the result is pretty.

You will have to trust me on that one ;-)

Seaside

At 5:15 pm we just stopped paddling and swimming in a totally calm sea. The wind just about started to blow...

At 5:30 the sea turned into this:

At 5:40 it looked like this:

God, I love insane weather!

The next day was calm again. So we did an 18 km tour along the coast, while the kids were competing in sprint.

A lovely detail from a lovely beach.

Star Wars costumes

I'm sure every Mum sooner or later has to make a Star Wars costume.

Well, I had to make two in two days.

You know where this is going, right?

Indeed, Yoda himself: a coat, two hands, two feet, a cap with ears, and the cane.

Here, Mr. Mojcek had to step in as I did not have enough time to make everything. A bit of cardboard, XPS, pur foam, a blue foil, paper mache, acrylic paint ... etc etc ...

The finished clone trooper!

Mission accomplished.

Update A

You know the feeling when a friend asks you how you spent the summer and you want to refer him to your blog - only to look at your blog yourself and realising that you didn't really publish anything... uups.

So, update A as Away.

We've been away :-)

And yes, this is A, the largest sailing yacht in the world.
If you look closely, you will see a regular yacht in front of it :-)

More pictures from Vienna...

Basilisk
Yes, this is a cow with glasses, playing Backgammon with a wolf.  But of course.

A lovely dome...
... but completely fake, just an illusion :-)
Aliens landing
615 € ?!?

More puzzles

It took me all summer to finally clean my desk - and the moment I did it, I bought a new puzzle :-)

Great picture, btw!

Portugal, part II

A few more images from Portugal that can be labelled as my favourite ones.

Can you tell what's wrong with the first one? Solution below.

OK, this one is rotated by 90.

So, so beautiful.

Oh, the solution: the picture is actually a reflection in the Douro river. I just rotated it for 180 degrees to fool you :-)
