Reading update

I've said it before, I'm saying it again: when I'm stressed or really busy, I need to read to relax my mind. So recently I've read:

1. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green. Great book, minor annoyances forgiven.

2. The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair. Great ending with a twist. Did not see it coming.

3. What if? for the xkcd nerd in me.

4. Tulip Fever by Deborah Moggach made me realise that apart from Agatha Christie I only ever read male authors. It was so strange/funny/different to read a book written by a woman.

5. Nemesis by Nesbø. Not his best but not bad.

5. Life short, Rytkönen long by Arto Paasilinna. Brilliant. So so Scandinavian.

6. The Devil's Star by Nesbø. Good but tad predictable.

7. Re-reading At Home by Bryson. No matter how often I read it, I keep finding new interesting things in it.

8.  SilverFin by Charlie Higson. The Young James Bond books are surprisingly good and I find them much better than the original ones.

9. Slam by Hornby. Nah, nope. Didn't like it. Leave the teenage stuff to Green.

I need...

I need a break.

A confession

I have a confession to make.

While I am neglecting this blog (and everything else, including all my friends, family, even me), I stared a new blog.

Inspired by the idea that every day one learns something new.

Today I learned ...

Enjoy.
