What to do Nr. 11

Join a virtual Escape room!

My favourite one, the Enigmarium, is having one, starting today.

What to do Nr. 10

Finish the projects that you started in the previous weeks.

With permission from Mr. Mojček, here is the finished greenland paddle.

What a beauty!

What to do Nr. 9

Read Asterix.

RIP, Uderzo.

What to do Nr. 8

Another obvious: playing cards and board games.

As teenagers we spent days, weeks, hell, years! playing cards ("tarok"), so why not now?

Now is also the time to play those endless games that you otherwise never have the time for. Yes, Dungeons and Dragons can be played online.

And now is also the time for someone to make a 5-hour escape-room game. One hour (+ some odd minutes, ahem) is just not long enough for a 24 hour day.

Now THAT is something I'd be looking forward to!

What a spring...

I was awakened by a strong earthquake.

Looked through the window and it was snowing outside.

While being stuck at home due to the corona virus.

What a start of the spring...

Update Week 1

Time for an update.

1. Yes, I am reading. The warm sun, a comfortable chair and a good book. Bliss...

2. I still cannot solve the Rubik's cube without help. There is one step I haven't been able to memorise just yet... I've still got plenty of time...

3. I've "been" to Musée d'Orsay, Belvedere, Van Gogh Museum, MoMA, Hermitage and started the Rijksmuseum and Paul Getty Museum. One painting that really spoke to me, is this one:

Cezanne's Pines and Rocks. Kind of understandable, since I love both pines and rocks :-)

4. Still in the diamond league. Still learning.

5. Oh, we finished the kitchen shelf!

Oiled oak.

6. I managed to do three hours of workout this week. One more tomorrow.

7. Thank God for Skype and Zoom.

8. And... it's raining!

Such a lovely refreshing rain.

Me happy :-)

What to do Nr. 7

Call your friends. Call your loved ones.

You will feel better afterwards.

And hopefully they will as well :-)

What to do Nr. 6

Work out!

I just stick to my regular gym schedule four to five times a week - as if everything were normal. There are tons of videos on YT, I even found the latest Bodybalance routine! Bodypump, however, will require more improvisation ...

What to do Nr. 5

This may be an odd one...

... carpentry!

Isn't it time to finally make that shelf that is missing in the kitchen and a new bookcase for the bedroom to accommodate all the good books?

Luckily we have enough wood at home since all the shops are closed now. Among other things, I've still got some lovely mahogany marine plywood from my Dad that I might use now ...

Mr. Mojcek btw is making himself a cedarwood greenland paddle... such a sexy paddle ;-)

What to do Nr. 4

Learn or refresh a foreign language.

Just today I reached the Diamond league in Duolingo!

:-)

Ma ora sono un esperto!
Et je vais essayer d'améliorer mon français... sans aller en France :-(

What to do Nr. 3

Visit Google Arts & Culture Collection!

I am starting with Musée d'Orsay today. It might take me more than one day to go through it, though.

Next will go to Belvedere, to Vienna.

And then ... so many options!

What to do Nr. 2

Aahh, the long forgotten Rubik's cube.

As a child, I was never able to solve it without instructions.

Maybe now is the time to learn how to solve on my own?

Rubik's cube

What to do Nr. 1

Reading, obviously.

These books are currently on my nightstand waiting to be read.

Strange times...

This is probably the right time to re-read Decameron.

And to do the things we always wanted to do but never had the time.

So I've got a huge pile of books waiting to be read.
And canvases ready to be painted.
And languages to learn/improve.
And photos to sort.
And a floor to renovate.
And papers to finish writing.
And garden to dig
and and and ...

Stay safe.
