Thread spool rack

Say you have plenty of thread spools (semi)-(dis)-organised in a box.

Say you're cleaning your office and somewhere under your desk you find an old paper rack.

You stare at it for a while and - eureka!

You just have to cut the wires to an appropriate height and hang the rack on the wall.

Happy.

Very happy.

Now I just have to make a dust cover.

Fabric shopping

Don't you just love fabric shopping?
I ordered these wonderful pieces at Etsy (the shop no longer exists).

Now it's up to me to make something equally gorgeous out of them!

Update: Three zippered pouches

More threads

This is what I mean by a large selection of threads that I keep at home.

What really annoys me are the numbers of the Gütermann's threads - no order whatsoever, except for the white (800) and black (000). The rest is totally randomly distributed. Would it be so difficult to have them numbered in order?

The basics

Since I love both photography as well as sewing, I'll post lots of photos here. And I'll start with the basics - the sewing threads. I usually keep quite a large collection at home of all possible colours so that I can always find the appropriate one without running to the store first. Quite handy if I decide to start sewing in the middle of the night.
