Away

One of the reasons why there were no posts in November is that we took a lovely autumn break and went to Portugal.

Still beautiful, still fascinating, yet way more crowded than ever before...

If I counted correctly, this is the seventh time I visited the country.

But I will visit it again, for sure :-)

And no, I haven't yet had the courage to try wave surfing, my men, however, loved it!

Seaside

At 5:15 pm we just stopped paddling and swimming in a totally calm sea. The wind just about started to blow...

At 5:30 the sea turned into this:

At 5:40 it looked like this:

God, I love insane weather!

The next day was calm again. So we did an 18 km tour along the coast, while the kids were competing in sprint.

A lovely detail from a lovely beach.

Late summer

Enjoying the last days of summer ...

I didn't take my camera, which I later regretted. Of course.

Surfin' www

I'm gonna be honest and include another activity that I do in my spare time - surfing the web. Here are links to some blogs or sites I follow more or less regularly:

My girly side:
Cake wrecks - when professional cakes go horribly, hilariously wrong.
Post Secret - confessions on life, death and God.
Etsy - my place to buy (not yet sell) all things handmade.

My other side:
The Big Picture - news stories in photographs by the Boston globe.
Dark roasted blend - weird and wonderful things.
Strange maps
