Update A

You know the feeling when a friend asks you how you spent the summer and you want to refer him to your blog - only to look at your blog yourself and realising that you didn't really publish anything... uups.

So, update A as Away.

We've been away :-)

And yes, this is A, the largest sailing yacht in the world.
If you look closely, you will see a regular yacht in front of it :-)

Dolomites

My absence is excused.

Driving a campervan through a snowstorm, however, was scary. Really scary.

Elba

After wanting to go to Elba for several years we finally made it!

Portoferraio
My favourite place on the island - Chiessi
Two weeks of lying under stone pines and bathing in wonderful blue waters.

Photo stolen from Mr. Mojcek. It's also his foot.
We managed to include some hiking and Mr. Mojcek some mountainbiking.

And! We've had two weeks of sunrises and sunsets and even full moon.

Away

Time for some holidays.

We escaped the insane heat and spent some time in the heights of Italian Dolomites.

Gorgeous places.

And while we're at it...

I think the last time I was in Cortina was 22 years ago!

Arco, again...

I've tried to count the number of times I've been to Arco (Lago di Garda).
I can not.

Despite being there so often, we still manage to find places we've never been to. Or take photographs of the same old thing in a different way. That's one of the reasons why we keep coming back.

Update - A

A as away

I haven't been posting much recently mainly because we were so occupied with the renovation works still going on in our house. We've got a new roof, we've spent endless hours waterproofing the terrace and ... we actually managed to squeeze in some vacation!

We've had our share of bad weather - just like everyone else being in Europe this summer. But we also had a bit of sun:

My absence, again, is excused!

Either you have a wonderful view of the castle and the mountains - or you have shadow all day long. We opted for shadow. I have to make five steps to actually see the castle!
